Puppet Artists sculptures are created to meet your specifications. They can be either free standing or sitting. Each is a soft form sculpture with a PVC pipe skeleton inside a stuffed felt body. As with our puppets, Marnie hand sews the faces and hands of the life-sized sculptures from nylon, hand paints and decorates them, and sprays them with any acrylic sealer to prevent any running or snagging. We buy the costumes or design and sew them ourselves depending on the needs of the individual character. Costumes can range from second hand store chic to custom designed, hand-sewn velvet and satin (as in the wizard sculpture pictured below). Sculpture prices vary according to the character and the costume, with a base price of $600. Portrait sculptures are available – life-sized versions of our portrait puppets.
